jdollari will let you know in a few weeks. I have one in the pipeline now- shot in Poland 2 months ago and currently residing in Denmark. So far it has been simple and painless.

HannayAre you planning on having it shipped or carrying it as checked luggage? I brought my moose antlers home from Sweden as checked luggage. I've been meaning to write a post on the experience, but haven't done it yet.

HannayI posted separately an account of importing my moose antlers; I would be interested in hearing how other people have imported their antlers.
For what it's worth, before I decided to bring it as checked luggage I talked to one of the big customs brokers that specialize in importing hunting trophies. They gave me a checklist of things I had to provide, including a veterinary certificate. When I asked about where I would get one of those or if there was a standard certificate form, they went silent. I had the impression (right or wrong) that they mostly dealt with hunters coming from Africa or other places where there is a "hunting industry". Sweden has some great hunting, but there isn't what you would call a "hunting industry" there. In the end, after checking myself, I decided that if the antlers/skull were obviously clean I shouldn't need a veterinary certificate. They were and I got by without one.
