what makes you want to change the channel....
RIGHT F'ing NOW!

I'm talking about things were you MIGHT dispassionatly consider that switching to
"Man Vs Wild" when he's into eating Skunks and such as an improvement over what's actually on...

My list includes any show that mentions:
1)Alien Abduction
2)UFOlogy
3)Nostradamus
4)"Channeling spirits"
(unless they are making a river of whiskey
and I'm not particular about what kind of whiskey)
5)Discussion of "Bible Codes"
6)the word "Maryvingian" (SP?)
7)Professional wrestling
8)Consipracy theories
9)Televised Golf, Bowling or Poker
10)CNN

Women sports casters. Women can be cheerleaders but when I am watching sports the last thing I want to hear is a woman talking who usualy has no idea what she is talking about probably got her job via a lawyer or you know what.

John Travolta-Because he made it clear that he is a higher evolved animal than the rest of us.

Anything that requires men to wear tights.

Rosie O'Donnell unless its her funeral.

Any TV preacher regardless of faith.

Anything that features dancing, unless it's tribesman dancing around the fire before a hunt.

"Please help feed the children"

"An animal somewhere is crying out for your help"

Anything animated

Anything that seeks to make men seem to be spineless morons bent on the next sexual conquest, regardless of how they must degrade themselves to get it. For example, "The king of Queens"

ABC, CBS, and NBC

I am sure there are many others.

I stopped watching the TV about 4 years ago. Can't say I miss it either. Reality TV is praly what I dislike the most.

I turn off any show with a black female judge!
I get it already!
There are no ho's, factory workers, waitresses, homemakers, hairdressers, etc, etc! They're all incredibly intelligent and become judges!

"Reality TV" distresses me also...

Particularly since it isn't about "Reality"but rather people "real" (debatable) reactions to a made-up grotesquely artificial situation...

Say.... "Survivor"?

Vote ME off the island?

Failing all else in a survival situation I'll eventually revert to an "I'm MUCH bigger than you are, so you can either cooperate or leave" mindset in the face of stupidity.

"Ok, now that I've shoved this spear up your ass do you want to change your vote? or shall I shove it in another foot?

Or

"How are you at swimming with two broken arms?"

Then again that program would likely sell REAL WELL in some markets....

RULES? There are no RULES in a REAL survival situation other than the ONE rule that matters... you do ANYTHING necissary to survive.
If someone becomes an impediment to that survival...

Survivor is a GAME SHOW that people play in an unpleasant outdoor location.

To me REAL reality TV is people doing things that they were going to do anyway but are just getting filmed doing it, and I'm not talking about "stupid things" (Like "Jackass")

"Deadliest Catch" about the alaskan Crab fishermen.... Iceroad truckers where the producers "keep score" on how many loads each driver has hauled goes a bit to far "Game Show-ish"

"Dirty Jobs" is often worth watching.
I can't recall a single show where I didn't learn something.

Joe Miller, some of what you mention is classed as "infomertial" which isn't really "tv" persay

As for animation there are exceptions...

If you've never watched SouthPark Ripping on some liberal Sacred Cow...

Or the episode aired the night AFTER the presidential election...

It's been 7 years for me, and the only thing I miss is football. Best damn money I never spent was cancelling my cable.
