Am I the only one who made sure Daniel used the appropriate number of "la's"?

Dear AKW [All Knowing Walter],

I have a conundrum: I own over 50 rifles in various calibers, yet struggle with understanding why I "need" anything beyond a 30/06 and .416R.

Please HELP! As my wife is on a witch hunt to "free up" all of my latent cash.... I'm sure you understand the implications to THAT!

If your wife is trying to sell your other calibers, you just found another reason why you need something more than the 30/06 and .416.

Would that be a flintlock or a wheellock Big Grin

All kidding aside, I read instructions on how to reload primers using kitchen (wooden) strike anywhere matches when I was about 15 years old, I never worked up the nerve to try it. Seemed like a good way to exceed the design capabilities (elasticity) of the rifle I owned at that time.

Just curious.

Having been thru several wives I learned to point out early on, prior to marriage, that I had my firearms prior to enjoying their company and I'd be enjoying the firearms afterwards.
The firearms was never an issue.

There are several words which have four letters, some ending in "k", which are not acceptable in mixed, or polite, society. W---k is the worst (and lowest class) of the lot!!!

Often, the first question asked of folks in our tumebledown desert environment shops is "Are you working hard?"

If the answer is "Yes..." most of us here are somewhat shocked for a moment.

Then we re-gather our wits and say loudly and clearly "HOW DISGUSTING!" and leave the scene as rapidly as possible. (It might be contagious.)

Anyway, Walter has it right on the nose. Exactly to the contrary of what the Women's Christian Temperance Union used to say, "Work is the curse of the drinking class".

Best wishes to Walter, and may he "have one for me", Sir.

All knowing Walter, I seek knowledge of these questions that keep me up at night.

1. If a person yawns, does a deaf person think they are screaming?

2. Do you have any pictures of anyone when they are older?

3. What is the correct pronounciation of "Pho?"

4. If I make a wish at every christmas for a dozen smurfs and a mallet, will it come true?

5. Do Neutrinos really travel faster than light?

6. What is the maximum achievable velocity of a human before things go awry?

7. What is the maximum achievable velocity of a banana slug before things go wrong?

8. I'm partially Russian, yet I dislike Vodka. I'd rather have whiskey or a bourbon. Does this make sense?

The question, what happened to Americanos? The coffee concoction that used to be tasty, delicious, a wonderfull thing?.. Overtones of a strong espresso, slight vanilla after taste, 4 shots of goodness with little cream and sugar..

Seems like any time I,ve had em since around 2005 or so, taste more like crappy coffee thats been filtered through slighty burnt, kinda dry pencil shavings. Every once in a while I get lucky and they taste all right, but usually not.

Political conspiracy? The evil influence of PETA? What? Last remnants of the recently extinct naugas a secret ingredient, no longer available, with no suitable replacement yet found by science?

Walter,

I have a serious question for you and I know I will get the correct answer.

If two guys, me, you, anyone, were setting around talking about guns/hunting/BBQ and there were no women around to tell we are wrong,

Are We??

I am never wrong!

I see on the banner that Walter has died.

I’m going to miss reading of his antics terrorizing Saeed and Saeed terrorizing him.

I kind of felt like I knew the guy despite never meeting him.

RIP.

Very sad to read of Walter passing away. In Saeeds hunt videos Walter was amusing and entertaining merely by being himself. I will miss seeing him there in future.
I get the feeling that he and Saeed were close knit friends despite all the practical joking and trickery. RIP Walter.
