I'm looking for loads with 400gr bullets in the 416. Does anyone have a pet load for buff and big bear?

My new favorite load is 76.0 grs. H4895 behind a 400 gr. Hornady RNSP. R-P case, CCI 250 Mag primers. Average muzzle velocity from my 24" barrel is 2415 fps. It shoots pretty well. Previously, I was using RL15, but with 78.0 grs., I was getting only 2372 fps. Shoots equally as well as the H4895 load. As always, work up to these loads, they appear safe in my Ruger No 1-H.

I use 77 gr IMR4895 behind any of the 370 gr NorthFork bullets (Soft/Cup Point Solid/ Flat Point Solid).

They print on top of each other at 100 yards.

Winchester Large Rifle primers. Lee crimped at 3.95 COL, R-P brass. 2575 fps from my 23.5" barrel. Average group size .75", best in the threes.
