_____________
Prenups, in many cases, dont always cover Postnups. Keep the gun and borrow the money at today's low rates. Good luck.

<JOHAN>700 nitro,
Keep the double.... go on honeymoon (Safari)

With increasing interest rates house prices will fall in many areas. Sit tight and look around...

GroveKeep the double ... you'll be hard pressed to get it back later or find one that you like as much later on. Besides ... that's why they call them "EX-wives" Speaking from experience.

Yo 700, Lawndart just gave you the best advice you're gonna get. I just recently celebrated 14 years of happily unwedded bliss.

FjoldI don't know. I've had 4 years of wedded bliss. (The fact that Wifezilla and I have been married for 28 years shouldn't matter.)

lawndartGuys,
About one in fifty marriages are truly made in heaven. It is a celestial crap-shoot with poor odds. If I stumbled into a perfect match tomorrow I would refer her on to someone who would cherish her and dote on her. I'm 49 years old next week. That gives me probably 25 more years with some form of vigor. I want to go back to war for at least two more tours. Finish building my airplane. Go kick around the game fields from time to time, and practice medicine late into the evening without worrying about being late for dinner.
There are only two valid reasons for being married:
1. Having kids. I got clipped at thirty eight so that is off the table.
2. Getting the rough edges knocked off one's character. Fuck that. I pay my taxes and show up for work. I am looking forward to being a curmudgeon.
I take good care of my girlfriend (and vice versa). No reason to destroy that happy accomodation just to file jointly on our tax returns.
Keep the gun, split a house, and go hunting alone or together, whichever works better.

lawndartHey Mark,
I'll PM you tomorrow after I get caught up on my charts.
I will tease you with this:
