Suitable action for AR round?
I have a 1903 Turkish Mauser, rearsenaled in the 1930s. I understand all the 1903s were made by Mauser at Oberndorf. However, DeHass says he wouldn't trust the heat treatment on most any Mauser until after World War I. Would this action have to be re-heat treated to be safe with the ARs or any other modern bottleneck, or is it even worth fooling with?
Jeffe?
Anyone?

i think you should send it to jeffe for inspection and if it passes have him build it...it will be hard for anyone to give it the o.k. without seeing it unless it is inferior to begin with even with heat treatment. if you are doind an a.r. project you should use the best ingredients for best results. buy a 7mag on sale unless you want to keep the conversion under $300 with an already owned doner. jeffe where are you?
