Hi Guys,

Is their any reason why you can't used a Savage Action for the 500 AR cartridge ?

And who has reamers that can make a barrel to fit on a Savage Action ?

This would make one heck of a bolt action pistol round.

reason? i dunno abaout savages, but you would have to open/get a rigby/lapua bolt face.

I have right now a 375 H&H, 416 Taylor, 416 Rigby, 458 Lott and a 470 Capstick in a Encore pistol so I though maybe either 500 Nitro or the 500 AR. But if I choose to go 500 AR the
Encore won't handle it. And since you can get a bolt Action Savage as a pistol that is what I was thinking.

about 13.25 inches not counting the muzzle brake with brake a total of 15 inches or so.
