i just won a leupold fx-ll 2.5x20mm and would like to install this on my 375 H&H ruger number 1..
the only thing is im used to buying vxlll or higher top end scopes will this fx-ll with stand the recoil or should i get rid of it and get sumthing better.?

thanks for the replies i just wasnt shure and i dont like to second guess my self.
ill be bringing it out to hinton area in mid-northern laberta next week for last part of the general deer/bear season/elk.... gonna see what i can tag with it.

Did you ever get your 505 Breeding rifle? I love to see a pic of it when he gets done. Ryan does a great job on his rifles. he had to wipe a few of them down after I got thru fingering them at SCI.

I had one for a backup on my 404jeffery. Very solid scope. BTW, scopes do withstand recoil diff. Bigger scopes take more of a pounding. The little 2.5x is pretty light, less to knock about internally. It may be too short for your #1 though.

i havnt really had a chance to post much i work a normal 60-70 hr work week and any spare time i do have is spent in the woods hunting deer/elk/bear.... or anything thats open.
i have shot a few things this the 505 a wight taild deer buck 10 point at my cottage and a smaller 8 point with my cousin on his property. and 2 coyotes.
a little over kill but hey i didnt spend all that money to let it sit in the safe lol.
hopfully if everything gose to plane next year ill have enuff money to do a triple cow elephant hunt .
if im gonna go im not just goona go for one i want 2 or more.

I knew you had been working a lot of hours. I have been in contact with a buddy of yours and we are swapping 2 bore info. John Collier has contacted me several times and we have talked quite a bit. Good luck with setting up the elephant hunt. I thinks its wise to do a multiple while you are over there.
I have the same scope on my Ruger #1 450/400 and love it. Only have a hundred rounds through it so far, but it is performing great. Getting ready for August 2009 ele/buff hunt with it.
