I recently picked up a new large action Mauser barrelled action in a 404 Jefferys from Bill Dowtin, It is one of Butch Searcy old actions with a Krieger barrel..I will add sights and swivels, it came with one of Bills super nice Russians Circassian walnut blanks.

This one is a keeper so I will sell all my other big bore bolt guns and this will be my only one from now on..My gunwhore days are over.

I´ve made that promise many a time BUT now I also aim to stick with it. I have all the guns I need and then some.

It´s been more than four months since I made the decision!

I´ve also been more or less broke during that whole time Wink

I am hesitant to post pics, that and the fact that I don't have the computer skills to post them!! shocker

I am having to fight the urge to sell this one as these big actions are so darn expensive and hard to come by and I really got a deal on this one and Bill tossed in a really nice big bore stick of wood...but I could probably make as much selling it as is as I could finished, but then I couldn't see the finished product.

confusion in my addicted gun whore brain is rampant at this point, wiggle room is abundant and I am near convulsions! rotflmo

I would be glad to send emails to your email address as I can do that. I will have to take the pictures today or tomorrow. I don't think I will sell this one, but again you never can tell, its a real weakness in me! wave

Bill,
I am trying hard to overcome my addiction to trading guns, selling guns, horses, kids and wives, and about anything else that comes into my possession..I love to trade! clap

The good side of that is I have shot game with about every caliber imaginable by trading, buying and selling my guns..The down side is I never make any money doing it, same with horses and the wife and kids keep coming back and hanging around the house and then they bring the grandkids too! wave
