Broken record? That's true, I've never been on the fence when it comes to any and all Roogers...you've got to admit, I've always said, "there's got to be something better."

How come your constant genuflecting at Rooger's alter doesn't constitute sounding like a broken record? So when it comes down to it, you pee yourself a little and I puke when Rooger is mentioned. Can we agree to disagree? Or is the manifest worship of everything Rooger only allowed?

The only way I would ever become a Rooger admirer is if I was paid a handsome sum to do so like, for instance, one of the pre-eminent guides in Alaska who posts on AR.

Naww, I just couldn't prostitute myself like that...there isn't enough $$$ in Rooger's marketing budget. Sorry.

I believe that the question could be broken into two parts. One being the rifle made by Ruger and the second part the 375 Ruger cartridge.
I have no insights into the Ruger rifle, but will vernture to offer an opinion about the Ruger 375 cartridge.
Since the cartridge can be used in a standard length action and at the same time produces balistics comparable to the 375 H&H, to me it is has great potential as an addition to our hunting tool box.
If the Ruger cartridge earns itself an honored place in the hunting realm, then rifle actions like the pre-64 model 70s will begin to get barrels chambered for it, and it will be unlikely that those will show any problems.
When rifles with premier actions and chambered for the 375 Ruger begin proving themselves, then some of us may begin to consider replacing our long action H&Hs, or at the least, adding this version of 375 to our personal arsenals.

Dave,

they couldn't buy me either. That said, I would let them "rent" me if the plan included a six week full bag and Big Six all expenses paid Safari.

I'm not cheap or easy, but I have been befuddled once or twice...

Ridiculous.

Matching factory velocity with hand loads is easy. Accuracy is superb.

Heck,if you really want to jack up the velocity in your 375 Ruger, use RL17. 300gr bullets at 2750fps in a 20`barrel...

Out of the box, my Alaskan was accurate, fed well, shot, extracted etc just fine. No issues.

I wasn`t much of a fan of the Hogue stock, so I bought a Macmillan and had it bedded and the trigger smoothed out at the same time.

Now she is a dream rifle.........Cloverleaf groups are no problem. Carries and handles well. Feels good and easy to pack.

Good lord rich. Either the case is larger, or it is not. Everyone that loads an hh can exceed 2500fps and only a damn fool would say you can't go faster, at equal loading technique in a larger case. Any reloaded worth the name can go faster in a bigger case. This is an idiotic fallacy. Youmight find another drum to beat. Besides, aren't you the fella that designed and identical-sans belt round, as you firmly believe belts to be superior?
