Try Clark Brothers on US 29 just south of Warrenton. They have a range that is open to the public. Very nice people to deal with.

Yep, Clark Brothers Guns. Open 7 days a week. You MUST purchase ammo and targets there. Take ear and eye protection. Long term, consider Isaic Walton in Centreville. Very nice and reasonable cost. Superb archery ranges. If you want the long term best, it's Fairfax Rod & Gun Club in Manassas which usually has a long waiting list. Used to be the best club East of the Mississippi.

must buy ammo there? you mean they'll load my wildcats?

unacceptable to be forced to pay someone else's set rate for ammo AND range .. unless the range and targets are FREE with purchase....

It's their range so they make the rules. Very simple, if one doesn't like the rules, don't bother going there. They never have "forced" anyone to come. The range is always full of folks who are most appreciative of the opportunity.

From their website. DD you are correct their range their rules. In my case I fire almost no factory ammo this wouldn't help me in the least. I would need to look for something else

Our Range

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday

To Use Our Range: For first time users you need to get a Range Card (Insurance Liability Form) there is no charge, just have your driver's license available. You need to buy our ammo and targets; there is no hourly rate. We require that you have eye and hearing protection. We don't rent any firearms.

As usual just my $.02

Grahamzr,

Welcome. You can shoot it at the NRA's 50 yard indoor rifle range. It's in the basement of their headquarters building. They allow anything up to and including a .460 Weatherby Magnum. No .50 cal BMG, though. Big Grin
