| I have a CZ 550 Safari Magnum in .416 Rigby. I have Talley quick release mounts on it. The scope is a Leupold VX-III 1.5x5x20mm. Setup is damn near perfect in my view. Great combo. If you do a search on my posts, I posted some pictures awhile back. Mike

| Grumulkin, If you don't mind be asking, how much "wiggle" room is there in mounting the 2-7 in the rings, i.e. how much could you move it either forward or back before the rings hit into the bells of the scope?
MJines, I have the VX-III 1.5-5 on my Ruger RSM .458 Lott. It is a great scope; I just wanted to go to a bit more magnification on the top end for my .416 because I will be using it for elk. |

| I have had a 550 Magnum in a .375. The first scope I installed was a Zeiss Diavari 1.5-6X45 with EAW mounts. Firstly the scope was broken. I changed to a leupold 1.5-5X20 VX III, then the mounts got broken but not the scope. Then I installed a warne mounts and everything worked perfectly till I sold the rifle, but not the scope. The scope is now on a custom M-70 404 J with talley mounts, and have been working wonderfully till now.

| Outside end to end of the rings on a 458 Lott using Talley rings is 5.5". A 2.5 Leupold is on but not much wiggle room keeping the front ring away from the lens. |
