Thanks to Moderator George S for humanely locking yet another 45/70 stir thread.
This time it was abundantly deserved.

Question:
What music-related comment best expresses the majority "feeling" about this excellent moderation?

Choices:
Atta Boy George, do you really want to hurt them?
Whip it! Whip it good!
Someone left their cake out in the rain, and they can't take it anymore.

Awingowet, awingowet, awingowet ...

The 45-70 is neither fish nor fowl and deserves its own board like the 50 bmg...this will let only those who want to play get involved like walters board and the political board...you know what you are getting into when you click...

I volunteer to moderate.

Since the topic cannot be intelligently argued, why bother? Since the thread was declared shit-stirring by its originator, and devolved into name-calling (again), what benefit is there to leaving it open?

The .45-70 doesn't need its own forum; it can be discussed on several forums, just not intelligently, by what I've seen.

I second the need for a 45-70 forum. I don't hunt dangerous game, so posting in this forum makes me feel like a wuss. Frowner

Whip it! Whip it good! Crack that whip!

Looks like a clear cut winner in the making, for agreement or consensus opinion on the need to lock or move idiotic 45-70 threads whenever they pop up.

"Walter's Own General Discussions" could be the perfect place to dump these threads, in honor of Walter's certifiable, nondebunkable idiocy.

It is the spirit of the gesture that counts,
like the middle fingers uplifted by the 45-70-ers who cannot be reasoned with, whether that finger is signifying their sperm count, mental age, or IQ: Make them Walter's own!

I have never participated in a 45-70 thread until now. It is time to confess that I once owned a 45-70.

............Some people just like odd things .....I,m kind of stuck betwixts and between .....A 45/70 works well with the right load on brown bear , at relatively close range..... Way better than the 30 cals. but probably close to the 338-375 cals.....Very simular to the 9.3x62 w/ 286 gr loads .....That is the point that gets me when people quote the Zimbabwe regulations ....There is [ AN EXCEPTION FOR THE 9.3x62 Mauser 'IN THE HANDS OF AN EXPERIENCED HUNTER ]]]]... If you want to go to Africa to hunt your first Cape Buffalo[[ you are not an experienced hunter ...]]]]]]..!!!!!! Use a larger rifle ...the same goes for the 45/70 ......If it wasn,t for the Marlin Guide Gun . the 45/70 would not be nearly what it is today ........The rifle made the round what it is today ......And any retard who wants to argue that please show me where Custer had Buffalo Bore Ammo !!!!!....

.If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....
