Is a blood spray visible? Did it open up his left cheek?

Do we know what the chambering was?
That's pretty brutal.

Just found a previous post on the Humor section of this very same video along with another one. I think this handgun belongs to one of our A-R posters. I've pm'd him to confirm and give us the details

He describes the shooting.

http://forums.nitroexpress.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=...psed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

He first decribes the pistol a little ways into the thread.

The owner is actually not the one pictured in that particular video. The owner goes by Kamikaze.

These videos are proof that just because something can be done, doesn't mean it should be done.

Yikes!

That guy is asking to have that Encore blow up in his hand. It cannot take a 600 Nitro Express. Not very smart.

Actually, I'm sure it's probably safe (from a pressure perspective) the 600 operates at about 35Kpsi or about the same as a 30-30.

The obvious danger is in the fact that the dumb-a$$ built it in such a light gun that the recoil makes the gun itself a projectile.

The main problem is that an Encore BBL is 1" diameter at the chamber. Chamber it for 60 Cal., and there is not enough metal left around the chamber area. 2 custom barrel makers both said this guy is an idiot when they read about this. An accident waiting to happen.

That was Kamikaze's pistol. On NitroExpress there is a link to another video, of Kamikaze shooting it, and he holds onto the pistol. In reoil, the barrel points right up to the ceiling and almost smacks him in his face.

Kamikaze's writings about the event are classic. His handle is befitting.

Can you say "Carpel Tunnel Syndrome"?

The breech thrust must be at the very limits of the capability of the Encore to withstand. Besides just being absolutely rediculous, what would you use it for? A .620 dia bullet moving, what, 1400fps. Might as well hunt buffalo with a 577 snider.

My signature line doesn't cover this kind of madness.

Shoot the largest caliber you can shoot well, and practice, practice, practice.

Looks like a good way to lose an eye...either from a blow-up or the whole thing flying at you.
