re patents by ruger and hornady...

thats why i think the 423, 411 will be "safe"...these cals just wont be good for the unwashed masses. the 358, 9.3, 8mm, maybe the 30 and 7mm should be safe too.

if you are ruger/hornady the wise choices are 416, 375, 338, and maybe 30 (they may consider 30 to be overbore) the rest should be easy pickings Big Grin the only other thing to do is to shorten the case. there is no point in going short action cuzz of the wsm+saum carts...the other possibility is 57mm (m98 length) which will have the same capacity as the std length win mags Big Grin soooo 416 taylor power in an unmolested m98 7 mag in a 7 mauser ect...

Boomie,

waiting by the mailbox each afternoon for reamers from Manson and dies from Hornady for the Gibbs-based magnums.
Got a BSS 12 ga 3" magnum sitting here by the desk. Still trying to decide on the builder, although for a few hundred $$$ more the one will make a new monoblock and let me keep the 12 set of barrels. Will be talking with Butch in the next couple of days to see what his reworking of the BSS entailed.
The browning will make a great 550 Gibbs, even if I have to fabricate "hat" shaped flanges and affix them to the 505 cylindrical case.

I've got a lock on the .348Blaze then. Be a good addition to my Brownchester M71 carbine and Encore.

Since we have the 400 H&H and you could use 40 caliber pistol bullets for plinking, how about a 400 R-AR (Ruger-AR)?

maybe we can have a ruger wildcat group buy...

everyone post yer caliber flavor and we can split the cost of reamer and dies ect.

if there are say 10 30's 15 338's 20 416's ect.

i think i'll start a new thread. Check the wildcats board!
