I find the breaks help immensly for recoil other than the noise issue. No complaints with headches or soreness if shooting off the shoulder and using a break. Break off and 24 shots of .585 Nyati with no past pad and later on you could say that you have seen the bright lights

Would a New Mark X action be better than a Vz24 ? or is it better to just go to a cz550 and be done with it ? which barrel did you use ? Lothar walther makes 577 barrels .Also which muzzle brake did you use ?i would just want to duplicate 577 velocities ,that would be fast enough for me ! Jack lott said his 577 double stopping power, and penetration had to be seen to be believed on buff ,i would like to see that !

None of these is a good choice. To do a .585 right you need a .750" bolt body diameter which means you get a Granite Mountain Arms action ($3000) and go from there. The alternative is to start with a P14 action and add $4K in gunsmithing. All other starting points are inferior because the rim of the .585 nyati is .640" and there is not much meat left on a .700" bolt (M98 or CZ550) after it is opened for .640". It works, but is not the ideal setup.
