I found out about it at the SCI convention in Reno, but didn't have time to talk to them about it. It's a two day event. It is supposed to be held sometime this spring. It will be conducted by Butch Searcy, Tom Turpin, Keith and Niki Atcheson and others. Sounds interesting.

sounds like it to me...

Just come to Houston and meet your extended family...that one uncle on your Dad's side that nobody talks about. Come meet the infamous crowd: JeffeOsso, Boomstick, ISS, Neal Shirley, the people here that DO things.

I'd load up my Pinto Wagon and drive over with a load of stuff.....and head a little north of there to see a lost uncle I do have. However, my parents are coming from the other coast to terrorize us for a few days on the same weekend.

I suspect that this SHoot, Hoot, & Toot Fest will have a sequel in the fal which I will be obliged to attend.

Would not want to discount anything that promotes our interests here, but for a few thousand bucks I can promote the firearm industry and buy another stopper. Rodney.

With all these replies, nobody's said yay or nay as to if there is a clinic and where it will be if there is. I live here in SW Idaho and would travel a ways just to shoot, see, and socialize. How about it? Is it happening or not and if it is, where??

Thanks in advance for the headsup.

Yes, it is happening at the Flying B ranch in Kamiah Idaho, (up in the panhandle). Three day event and it sounds like they take real good care of you. It will be on the last weekend in March and cost is $ 2,500.00 per person. You can contact Dan Blanco at danb@flyingbranch.com .

sheesh! That much money will buy me a new CZ in 505 Gibbs. Sounds like a revenue generating project for sure...

Can I do the same thing in Houston for about 25% of that number?

Rich, Lawndart and I are looking at the possibility of having a big bore shoot here in Nampa this summer. My first thought is to shoot the Zim Profeciency Exam as the first shoot.

458 Win,
I guess Butch "Obabma mama" Searcy will be one of the instructors and he is the best I promise you that...He can flat shoot a double rifle...

I think the fee to go is $900.00 or so bucks...contact Butch Searcy if your interested.

JPK,

we DO have a Hooters in Boise (22 miles east). It's a perfect deal, the Cabela's is right across the street! Everything a man needs, except a good cigar, and that's just another three miles NE.
