Well I took the Chapuis to the Ranch today and tried the speer 270 gr/59 grs of RL-15 load suggested by you guys in my last post. I tried it with open sights at 50 yrds and was rewarded with a 1.5 inch cloverleaf group of 4 shots fired offhand. Very impressive. At 100yds bowling pins were easy to hit with 100% reliability out of either barrel. This gun is a keeper! Where can I find scope mounts for this rifle?-Rob

Oh no!You have done it now. The more you use the Chapuis, the more you will like it.
On my Chapuis I have the pivot mount, with 2 scopes in rings. It goes back to zero without problem. You can get a scope mount from http://www.Champlinarms.com

Rob,
Your welcome.
Just don't tell me your wife has red hair.

Have you tried my Hornady 350gr load in your 450 No2? In my double it regulates very good and shoots to the sights.
81 grains of IMR 3031, filler, either foam or 5 grains poly, federal 215 primer. Velocity @@330fps. Works great on deer and wild pigs.
