CowboyCSEveryobne who has contacted me Re: 2 Bore
I am not ignoring your phone calls or emails.
Yesterday at around 2pm CST my oldest son was in a truck wreck. He rolled his bosses company truck several times(we think) and wrapped it around a big old cottonwood tree.
He has been in ICU since yesterday, and they have just now decided he is stable enough to move out to a regular room. He suffered some head trauma and spinal injuries, bruised lung, and broken rib. As well as the normal cuts, bruises and road rash that go with this kind of accident. They are transferring him at this time and so I had a chance to break away.
I checked my email and phone and it looks like most of the people who are trying to contact me are from this forum. Rest assured I will get in touch with you eventually, but right now my shop is essentially closed until I have my son's situation all squared away. You are more than welcome to continue to email me, and I will eventually respond. My phone will probably just ring as no one is around right now to answer it.
Since you are a fairly small crowd of guys who enjoy this stuff, please pass this information on to anyone you might have talked to who has or is trying to contact me.
Thanks
Colin

CowboyCSPraise the Lord, we brought him home from the hospital this morning. His injuries are healing well, and a lot of the swelling has gone down. The head injury, is just going to be some memory loss and scars. We are still working on keeping his lungs opened up and will be continuing breathing treatments for a while. He will be starting Physical therapy later this week to work on the spinal injuries. And we have an appointment later this week to have the stitches removed form various parts of his body.
Thank you all for the prayers and support. He will need your continued prayers for a good recovery, and we would appreciate them as well, it has been a very trying weekend for my family.
Thank you all.
Colin

CowboyCSThank You all so much for the continued prayers and support.
My son doesn't remember about 6 hours of his day and asked me if I could get some pictures of what happened, so he could look at them, so I thought you all might be interested in seeing what he survived.
Best guess from the Sheriffs department is he was ejected on the first roll. My son was found lying in front of the truck in the bottom of a ditch. I talked to his boss today and he said they had to use a chain and a tractor to pull the drivers side door open so they could get stuff out of the cab.
I'm praising the lord today that he lived through this and thankful for the minor amount of injuries he has, compared to what could have happened to him.

Wow, I got the willies just to see the state it was the vehicle. But I say that the damage can be recovered but life and health do not. I'm glad your son has walked away from this accident now with the care you give him will do to recover.
Un abrazo,
Oscar.

CowboyCSThank you all for the continued prayers, he starts his physical therapy for his spinal injuries today.
I know he is feeling better though, this morning it dawned on him that with all the restrictions to his activities he won't be able to hunt the rest of bow season. He was pretty pissed and in a bad mood after that. I told him that if his therapy went well and the doctor cleared him he might still get to hunt late season in January.
It's good to know he has his priorities straight, who cares about nearly dying or being paralysed or any of the other injuries, missing hunting season is much more important. Scared his mom and I half to death and aged us ten years over night and all he's worried about is when he can go hunting again.
Thank you all for the support and prayer, it means a lot to us.
Now that things are settling down a little, maybe in a few days I can get back to work on the 2 Bore project.
I think I have returned all the emails and phone calls that I have missed in the last couple days, if anybody has tried to get a hold of me and hasn't gotten a response, please send me another email or try calling again. Somebody should be around the shop or house now.
Thank You
Colin
