Which one Cross--The nice ones, or the $5 ones?

Either way, you have to look long and hard for the extreme good ones, and you have to look a lot harder for one as bad as the one that Corbin sent to me. Ones that horrible are hard to come by!

Got my English stock back from AI after having Wes slim the forend! Took it down nearly .2 inches in the front! Might not seem like much, but it most certainly handles like a new gun! This one is ready to battle some buffalo now!

You know a couple of years ago I started looking at my B&M rifles, my MDM rifles and noticed something, about 3/4 of them were all stainless and wood! I had not paid much attention to it, but it just seemed to work that way, I suppose I really am partial to stainless and wood combinations. I don't even have a 416 B&M that is blue, all of them are stainless.

OK, since it is page two, some might not want to go back and look at page one, but if you have not got your vote in please do so! Very interesting what some of our preferences are! I see I am not the only one that likes stainless/wood!

Here are some more photos of the blanks.

My boy Corbin says that he will no longer call me a friend if I build these stocks on a stainless rifle? What? Come on now! Some slack please. He says it has to be on some "Rusty Blue", something like that. Big heavy intregal sights and so forth. I don't know. But, he is holding the blanks, and is making some big threats?

I decided last night to compromise some.

I think we must build these rifles and give them a very Hi Polish Nichol! Bright and shiny rifles, look like mirror! rotflmo

I have not heard back from him this morning yet???????

I met Corbin today and fully convinced him he was in no position to take such shameful slabs of foreign wood and therewithal degrade your fine custom bitey-critter-killers by the application thereto. It seems in the interest of all things "green" for the planet's sake we must at long last 'bite the bullet' and use only renewable resources from now on...like bamboo for instance. More on this soon, maybe with a photo...

HMM HMM.

Oh man, I knew it, finally the Rain Forest in Oregon has ruined your mind! .375? Give me a break! No Way!

Thanks Matt, I am very pleased dancing Thing is, I have two more coming, out of the other two blanks, one Stainless 500 MDM, the other is made for a new 475 B&M, exactly like the 50 B&M you see above, but still waiting on barrels so the rifle is not built yet! Mad

Then a few weeks ago Wes showed me two new bastogne blanks he got in, and I have them on hold right now! I am thinking, 458 B&M and maybe a new 9.3 B&M for those. ?????

Thanks Shoot!

Naki, Talked to Corbin last week I think, Yes he got this from Cecil. Corbin was on a mission out there in January, and he picked these three blanks up for me, hand picked! I think he did pretty damned spiffy! But, Corbin is a good one for picking wood! But he ain't worth a damn at ever making a stock out of them! He just collects the wood, then sits at home and rubs on it!

And thanks to Wes at Accurate Innovations, this is the end!

This one is not quite over, this stock belongs to a new 475 B&M that should arrive next week! It is also stainless, and set up exactly like this rifle, which is my Alaskan 458 B&M, normally sporting a light weight Ultimate stock for the ugly Alaskan weather! But for now, it can sport around on the Bastogne until the 475 B&M Arrives!

OK OK, busted, with the 9.3 B&M. It's true, I really like that little rat shooter! Deal is, 20 inch barrel, smaller contour than the 416 + B&Ms, wood stock it comes in at 7.25 lbs! Just feels great to me, for a rat shooter. Now, some nice things going on, first there is going to be a 9.3 caliber 230 gr ESP Raptor! I expect that, along with the current BBW#13s in 9.3 to take care of every single need in my 9.3 B&M, with the bulk of the work going to the new Raptor! That will be an incredible bullet!

Currently I have two 9.3 B&Ms, one is very light, gunkoted black, ultimate stock, rifle that is currently being fondled in Dayton Ohio by my buddy Louis! He may not send it back? The other is Gun #1 stainless and claro Accurate Innovations stock, this one is going to leave the continent and go to Andrew. Andrew wants one in the worst way for his light plains game work, and the Raptor might just be the ticket for that sort of work. He has a lot of folks coming with no rifle, so the 9.3 B&M will be getting some kind of workout in that capacity.

With these things in mind, a couple of weeks ago, I sent up a stainless WSM rifle to be converted to a new 9.3 B&M. Now, this one, it will have a Bastogne stock added to it from one of the two blanks I have on hold from Wes at AI. So there is going to be a bastogne 9.3 B&M.
