Simplest 50cal African Bolt Action Rifle Caliber
so other than a minimal shoulder and turning off the belts...

cal length neck

no rebate

cheap brass

no fireforming

no headstamp issue. keep the a2 brass stamp

not reeeeely a wildcat, well kinda Wink

all the saami loads

more power and velocity than most mortals can take.

the pride of being a hare splitting idiot

ect...

in the same class as...

500 mbogo

500 wells

500 a2 (duh)

500 kx

in good company and i think the easiest considering no forming.

You'd get a case head separation on the first firing most likely and could not reuse the once fired brass, which has now become belted again, if not in smithereens.

thats o.k. still an darn easy and neet idea.

the only other way to make factory ammo work would be a way to keep the cart cool whilst you turned the belt off but awfly dangerous Eeker

rabbi rip...this means with yer new religion you can neck the holy lapua brass to 475!

trim at a cal length neck and fit in a m98!

2.6" brass length???

or just neck up and leave at whatever the avg. length is.

Yep,
It would work if the necks would survive without splitting. It works great up to .458, as I have never lost a case in either necking up or fireforming to .458/.338 Lapua RIPoff.

The whole point of my Lapua RIPoff cartridges is to use the great Lapua brass. Rigby basic necked down would be a horse of different color.

BTW, the shoulder angle on that drawing of the .338 Lapua Magnum is STILL wrong. It should be 20 degrees.

Obvious typo: 25 degrees and 67 minutes??? bewildered

can you try necking up to 475 and see what happens?

i'll reimburse you if you like.

trim at cal length and it would be neeto.

it'l give you a chance to play frankenstein with components...

thanks either way... Big Grin

being that there is the 470 a.r. its a needless cart but with all the hassle it is better to go all the way to the 500 a.r. as jeffeosso has planned.

the 500 KA-BOOM stick still has all its merrit though. i think i will just finnish my kahlua and cream and call it a night cheers
