As some of you know about 30 months ago I developed a chest infection. Lost center 1/3 of sternum and then 2/3s of the right Pretoria Major was folded over to fill the hole and help deliver continued antibiotics to the heart area.

That left me with a major portion of the ribs next to my shooting shoulder only covered by skin. Recoil HURT!!!

Thanks to several of you I bought a Evoshield and slowly worked up from a 223. But up to this fall nothing over my 280.

Well after 2+yrs of doing all the work the little upper Pec has filled in. I actually had to remold the shield because of the added muscle mass.

Over Thanksgiving I took my frustrations out on the poor dead oak behind my mothers house. So it is really deceased after 5 260gr 380PDKs and 10 400gr 400PDKs.

While I will still cheat and use a sand bag to sight in I'm back in the big bore club. dancing

I remember when you posted about the infection, thinking you'd have a long road ahead.

While I don't know you personally, Paul, it is wonderful to know you making your way back to the things you love.

Godspeed!

Thanks guys. Two years ago I didn't think I would be back here. Upside is I really love my Howa mini 6.5 Grendel. Also have about 1000 223s I need to reload.

You guys have a very Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday whichever floats your boat.

Never say Never.
