boom stick404 bulet @ 2150 via blown out 240 wby case
https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/6521043/m/273106446thought some here in big bores would find this amusing...
it would be basicly a reduced size 470 capstick or 458 win mag/lott on a .470 boltface (30-06 size)
it would be good for the 411 416 and the 404 (.423)
the goal of the old school velocities of 400 @ 2150 would be the ideal for this wildcat.
using a belt for its intended purpose of a straight blown out case with no shoulder.
this is worthy of e.p.s. aka extended pinky shooting...
should be efficient with mild recoil by comparison.

ForrestBIn theory it sounds ok. In practical terms, you'd be better off buying a 458 Win Mag and shooting 450 grain bullets at 2050. Any difference between the rounds would all be in the shooter's head.

Especially after he bought the 240 Wby brass and necked it up to 40 calibre

boom stickgranted the 458 win mag is way more practical...
but most things in guns is not about being practical

the only real charms here are either the .470 boltface with maximum power/bullet dia, the only case that can use .423 size bullets on a .470 bolt or use 410 pistol bullets in a short action. or at least those are the only ones i can think of right now...
the great thing is it is not my idea (except the .423 size bullets) so no insults can be thrown my way per usual
