I'm anxious to make my next purchase when I figure out it will be. Unfortunately there aren't many people in my area shooting anything bigger than a 300WM, and you don't even see many of those around here. That sort of limits my exposure to more of the big stuff. I've got a 416 Rigby, but would really like to have a go at a 458 Lott or a big DR. I guess I don't want to jump into a buy if I can't handle the recoil, so would like to try one out first.

What are you planning to shoot that the Rigby can't handle?

I'm in North Carolina, what do you want to try? I have 458WM, 458Lott, 470NE and 500NE. I even have a 460 weatherby if you want to try that.

Ed,
Are you near Raleigh? I may be in town for the Dixie Deer Classic in March. I think the WM and the Lott would be a good place to start.
