... as in Dead On Arrival.

Is it just a joke on the .500 Jeffery?

Is it the .458 Jumbo Dumbo afterall?

I had an unexpected bit of spare time and came to browse here, and was shocked to see the lack of interest in the .458 Boom Stick. sofa

No offense, but I think a lot of guys are overwhelmed with the number of cartridge offerings already out there, and given the expense of building a proper big bore, many choose a more well-trodden albeit less perfect path.

"if you build it they will come..."

vangogh had a hard time selling his paintings...he had to give them away and now people would kill for them!

once it is built and any kinks worked out it will have more interest...we just have to dare to blaze a trail.

single stack removable mag please...

did you send the boom sticks?

ive got my smoking jacket ready for a photo opp!

boom stick,
The upcoming order of prototype production here at HA!/DOA is:

1. .423 Lapua Kifaru (in progress)
2. .510 Gibbs Ndovu
then
3. .458 Boom Stick

I am sure that after we get the .510 Ndovu worked out, the .458 Boom Stick will be a breeze, on a Ruger M77 Mark II stainless. thumb

Marketing is one thing, but 'word of mouth' is much, much better.
Ask a WOMAN, and her answer will be one word:
GIRTH.

Long is good.
THICK is GREAT!

I'm interested in delivering a .475 ---
Big Grin

Some competitive shooters are wildcatters... but the volume of reloading sales is declining even with all these new commercial loads. Even the attractions of the Lott in the gun crank market was lost in the noise of the SAUMs, WSMs, and RUMs. Federal did not come out with Lott loads yet (waiting for the SHOT show to see if rumors of an African hunting trip taken last year among Federal ammo folks with Lott loads was simply rumor, or whether it was a product test). Even so, most major lines have dropped loads in order to keep up with the new cartridges... thumbdown Apart from that, I'm generally happy to see new cartridges. I wish we had a growing market to absorb it all.
