I got these at a big discount from Midway a while back. I bought them primarily for practice but thought someone might know what they are. The box does not say. ![]() ![]() Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures -- I need a separate light with a diffuser I suppose. You can click the pictures for larger versions. Woodleighs? Brand X? Generic FMJs? I picked up my .458 yesterday and it got me to wondering what these are. ------------------------------- Some Pictures from Namibia Some Pictures from Zimbabwe An Elephant Story

Thanks Jeffe. I thought they were a discontinued item, and knew they were not the Sledges. Hopefully they will clear it up. I will look at the MidSouth as well. I do have five boxes of the mystery Fed on hand. ------------------------------- Some Pictures from Namibia Some Pictures from Zimbabwe An Elephant Story

My bet is that they are Woodleighs. I have a box or two as well and my reloaded Woodleighs look exactly the same. JPK ![]()

They look like Woodleighs to me, too. Charles, try a magnet on them. If it sticks, then dollars to doughnuts they're steel jacketed Woodleighs. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

The BC suffix may indicate Bear Claw, before they added TB for Trophy Bonded? _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

Not only that, but if it were a Trophy Bonded Solid it would be a Sledgehammer and not a Bear Claw. I need new glasses anyway. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

They are Woodleighs. For some reason they didn't mark the boxes, for awhile anyway. I guess they didn't think hunters thought it would make any difference. The real thing. You might want to shoot over the chrony 3 or 4 to satisfy my curiosity about MV. If you use them for the real thing you'll have to file your sights for them anyway. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.
