SevensI want something that starts with a "4"
I got a CZ 375 H&H at the beginning of the year and I think I've been bitten by the big bore bug. I'd like to expand my battery to include something that starts with a 4. I'm thinking either a 416 Rigby or a 458 Lott (on a CZ 550 action). I've been throwing the two back and forth and have found pros and cons of each.
One thing I am curious about is recoil. I've never fired either the 416 or the 458, but I have fired a 500 Jeffery and an 11.2x72mm. Can anyone compare recoil to these as well as the 375 H&H?
Anyway, between the Lott and the Rigby, which would you choose.
Thanks!

boom stickOh, I thought you wanted a "Four Bore" Lol
If you are going with a heavy CZ might as well go with the Lott. You have the reach of the 375 already.

N E 450 No2I agree with boom stick, go with the 458 Lott as you already have the 375 H&H.
As a Plus there are a lot of inexpensive bullets in .458 that you can use for practice and plinking.
The 458 Mags are plesant to shoot when loaded dwn to high end 45/70 ballistics and kill deer, pigs, black bear, etc very good.

Rodney H.{500Jeffery}Get a CZ in the Lott, the market is flooded with them and you should get a good deal on one new or used. Then send to AHR for there number one upgrade, togh combo to beat.

DGR ShooterYet another vote for the Lott. Recoil will be a significant step up from your .375, but considerably less than a heavily loaded .500.

SevensHmm, I see a certain theme here.
Wayne already upgraded my 375, so whenever I end up getting this next big bore I already plan to have it sent to AHR for their number one upgrade, barrel band sling swivel, and glass bedding. Is there any other modifications you guys would recommend (like adding weight to the stock)? I'm intending to primarily use iron sights (especially if I end up with the Lott) if that makes any difference.
Thanks,
