GeorgeSNo, it's just the last few taxpayers escaping Kalifornia any way they could. Or the Democrats sending Pelosi and Governor-elect Moonbeam back to the Mother Ship.

That's what I was getting at. Either that or a sub
but it's on the 2 launch flight paths for missiles.
(I was looking a the AFB web site a couple of weeks ago.)

Yeah, and the Air Force doesn't feel compelled to keep the news media in the loop. How could you blame them?

Nope.
I love the way the papers say NORAD et al can't shed any light on it.
Talk about playing dumb. I sometimes wonder how stupid the media are rehashing this.
As though the US wouldn't know what it is 35kms off the coast of the US.

BlacktailerWell it wasn't Vandenberg because that is about 150 mi North of where this was launched. Heard today on the radio that they are saying it was an optical illusion of a contrail. Yeah Right.

150 mi North but the Shooting zone for missiles / rockets (or the one's to the South) are straight past the Island mentioned.

Rick RNews report this evening said that it may have been "accidently launched by a submarine".
Somebody didn't keep their finger off the bangswitch when they were diving?

10 November 2010, 08:11
MacifejWhat's ridiculous is no one mentioning where the item went? It was onviously tracked by a few dozen entities. BTB - Vandeberg launches appear EXACTLY as this one did and are viewable exactly as this one was from DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO!! 200 miles to the south. Have seen many of them over the years.

But the video showed that the LAUNCH POINT was NW of Catalina. It wasn't flying by Catalina it launched from near there.
