How about a Gatling Gun? Cranking out shot after shot. You can make it a BigBore as well!

The Gatling Gun was originally made as a big bore, the 45.70.......Oops! Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. damn!....thanks fjold... now i gotta get one... "The model of 1881 was designed to use the Bruce feed system (U.S. Patents 247,158 and 343,532) that would accept two rows of .45/70 cartridges. While one row was being fed into the gun, the other could be reloaded, thus allowing sustained fire. The final gun required four operators. By 1876 the Gatling gun could fire 1,200 rounds per minute, although 400 was more reasonable." now THATS a 45-70... talk about a wall of lead... using 405 gr bullets that means it fires almost 60 lbs of lead a minute! 577 BME 3"500 KILL ALL 358 GREMLIN 404-375 *we band of 45-70ers* (Founder) Single Shot Shooters Society S.S.S.S. A bit hard to get to the hunting fields maybe..... That thing is a bit heavy to carry! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." About 15 years ago I got to shoot a reproduction Gatling on a tall tripod. If you want to talk about an old style big bore revolving gun. Then the five barrel Hothkiss 1.5"/37m/m cannon with a rate of fire of 80 rounds per minute is the one to talk about. It makes the ones in 45-70 look like popguns. The original 1863 Gatlings were .58 cal. They used everlasting type steel case, loaded with minies balls and capped with the winged misket caps. Later versions went up to 1", both rimfire and centerfire. The last version was in 30 Gov't (30-40 Krag).(1899?) thanks, but I am just NOT that retro. Besides the old mini-gun I brought home from 'nam is enough hassle to load for and it's only a .308. It is a good thing that diesels have two batteries, though! Took me a week to figure out how to make adaptors for the 5th wheel plate. Buuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! thanks for thinking about me...I guess. Rich DRSS NRA Life Member

Since the Bubbas escalated the shoot with explosives, I figured a 1.5" cannon would be good for a topper.
