Double triggers alow for amidexterous shooting of dangerous game and extremely important feature if things go wrong! The single lever obviates the possiblity of shooter error in not cocking both guns simultaneously which might happen under severe pressure. Anybody make a double semi-auto 45-70? Now we are talking Firepower! No levers to mess with. Just weld and Go! The Ultimate DGR. I want one.-Rob Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers to do incredibly stupid things- AH (1941)- Harry Reid (aka Smeagle) 2012 Nothing Up my sleeves but never without a plan and never ever without a surprise!

A gun of that quality demands ribs above and below the barrels. I'd weld door sills on and superglue a appropriate front sight(with Ramp and a Ivory bead) in place. Fill the gap with JB weld so it looks like a chopper lump action! Thats Guns&Ammo quality if I've ever seen it.-Rob Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers to do incredibly stupid things- AH (1941)- Harry Reid (aka Smeagle) 2012 Nothing Up my sleeves but never without a plan and never ever without a surprise!

Rob! You should take a look at that 45-70 Metric drawing that we found. We may have to eat some crow with the 45-70 Bubbas if that gets out!!

Benneli makes a left hand 12 Ga smi-auto. If I weld a right hand one and a left hand one together, screw on ER shaw 12 Ga rifled barrels put on a pistol grip and single trigger, I can make the 12 Ga FG short semi-auto double. Mount a EOTECH holo sight in the middle and regulate with a X wedge. It probably would be no wider than a .600NE double and pretty handy. I suppose a decent stock could be fitted too. Oh I need to go lie down till this idea goes away!-Rob Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers to do incredibly stupid things- AH (1941)- Harry Reid (aka Smeagle) 2012 Nothing Up my sleeves but never without a plan and never ever without a surprise!

This should be in medium bores: I have been wanting a really fast 7mm for more than 10 years. 1:7" twist with a 26" barrel. How fast can I go with a 150gr VLD mono HV?

Gerard, What 7mm? 7x57 RemMag STW etc., so many. How about a switch barrel of the upcoming .395 GSC (with 12" twist barrel) to 7mmSTW with 7" twist barrel? You are now back in the big bore forum.

What 7mm? One with with CASE CAPACITY. I have regressed to medium bores again. The 7.21 Firebird can run a 116gr HV bullet over 4000fps but the slowest (SA available) powder in the Quickload database is S385 and it is not slow enough. There are two powders slower than S385, S361 and B12.7. I wonder if Broemel has the data for them yet. A 116gr HV at 4000fps will be useful for general hunting and for longer distances I can do a maximum BC bullet for the 1:7" twist. I just remembered about the 7mm AM (Allen Magnum?) Got to have a look at that also. Case capacity is only useful if the powder to match it is available. And I do not know why I am even talking about this. There is a lot to do before a big 7 is going to happen, like two .395s and a car that needs building. There is this theory that we were all placed upon this earth to fulfill a number of tasks. On that basis, I am so far behind, I will never die!!
