A week ago Monday was Media Day at the Range to kickoff the 2012 SHOT Show.

1st stop, Colt's. They are building M1875 Gatling Guns again. 5-barrel 45-70's. They let me shoot 20 rounds thru it. The rest of the week was downhill.

I also got to shoot a Barrett 416 Barrett semi-auto version. 3rd shot, I hit a clay pigeon at 930 yds.

It was quite a week...

I got it in two shots Wink
Part of the credit goes to the 420 grain high BC 416 caliber lathe turned bullets by CEB.
You should post pics of the gatling. I have some. Should be some video on you tube. I think the Gatling gun is selling for around 40K

I am sure all those toys are wonderful, but were I to win one of the big lotteries, my first call would be to Holland & Holland to place an order for a 465 H&H Royal Double and my next few calls would be used setting up say 60 to 75 days worth of shooting buffalo in a tour across Africa.

It does not cost anymore to dream big than dream small.

A Walrus and Whale hunt with some Alaskan Native Americans.
I'll only have a camera but what a memory that would be.

Cheers, John

I love the when I win game!! do you guys ever get a notepad and start sketching out where what money is going? it's a blast.

anyways, hmmm....a Rigby rising bite action in whatever caliber over 45 I can find or one of those mackay round bodies maybe. Have my 416 Taylor finished and have my 375 worked over and restocked. A beautiful side by side 12ga custom fit for me (who makes the best one? Maybe H&H) a wonderful mutli-country very long safari with my kids and wife in tow (can't be away from the little ones that long). All the big 5 save the rhino. Then to scotland for one of those wing shooting trips riding the luxury train across country.

Scuba diving Galapagos, Bear, goat and Ram in Alaska.

An estate in San Simeon CA with my own air strip, a Beaver and a King Air, or maybe a Baron.

at this point I'm off hunting and onto cars and such so not right for this forum. But I can feel the heat and hear the canvas creaking on the tent behind me right now. (oh, the safari would have to have all campaign furniture. The only modern amenity I want to take with me is a masseuse and cold backs to keep my back functioning).
