capsticks are cool ..

They are 400g XTPs plunking load

the speer "deep curl" which used to be gold got, 400gr .475 bullet holds together VERY well, even at 2500 fps .. and is dirt cheap

I have shot some of the speer bullets in the capstick what is the parent cartridge of your 470AR and 500AR?

Thanks for asking. The 40s are all 375rum based, and the 50 is rugby. Blown out to make wider headspace, and then shortened

I machined a new stock for the capstick

Now there are 2 XP capsticks we shot some Barnes Banded Solid Bullets 500 Grain Flat Nose bullets at 2440 FPS yesterday. Here is what Steve has to say. "We didn't have but twenty bullets between us. Some 400's and 500's and two different powders. So this is Erics first two and my first two at 100 yards. Glad I wasn't betting against him"

3 470 Capsticks with McGowen barrels 2 pistols and one rifle all 3 shoot in the 1/2" range. 470 rifle 5 shots at 150 yards with 325 speer deep curl

Yep minute of buff or elephant groups if I ever saw any. great shooing great groups
