Nice. Any idea why the front screw on the bottom metal is so proud?

Not my cup of tea but a take down Mannlicher is quite interesting.
The Monte Carlo esque stock is not for me for sure.
I like that it does not have gaudy engraving at least.
I'd rather have this.

You'ld have to ask G&H about the screw, although the takedown idea makes sense.

I would find the use of turn in rings on a rifle that is probably not very heavy, shooting a heavy recoil cartridge to be troubling.

The workmanship and wood is certainly top drawer.

I can't afford it, but I can appreciate it. I would hope others could as well.

The 350 G&H is a handsome classic although I believe this 404, having less drop, might be more comfortable on the cheek.

Beautiful rifle, but it would be nicer if the front 12 inches of stock was missing.

Would I drag this rifle through a thornbush? Absolutely I would.

I would treat it axactly the same way as I would treat any other rifle for that matter.

To me any rifle is nothing more than just a tool and I don't sufer from this "wanky, wanky drooling" over anything on this Planet.

fartsaw,

Just farting around again?

That is a 404 Jeffery on a Dakota 76 African action.
You need to get your copy-and-pasties more coordinated.
I can even read the serial # on the left side of the action "3567" to the right of the "404 Jeffery" on the barrel in the 4th pic down.

Good catch RIP, there is another 404 Dakota on the site, guess I was saving too many images and crossed them up.

Fellas if you don't enjoy the photos, you don't have to view them.

I don't believe in locking my guns in a safe and never sharing them, nor ignoring beautiful guns owned by others.

Could never afford a Ferarri 275 GTB, but would never miss the chance to just enjoy the sheer pleasure at looking at a work of art.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Here is the correct 404 Dakota:

If you go to the G&H site you can see bigger pictures of it.

If I could afford this rifle to begin with, I would hunt with it. I could then afford to have the dings repaired by the gunsmith after season was over.

Jorge, why can't you stop making accusations with no basis ?
I never said any of the three rifles were mine, I said they came off the G&H website.

As far as my "stealing photos" and claiming ownership of the guns in question. You (nor anyone else) has EVER been able to provide a single iota of proof to support those lies.
So again the question..... why are you lying over and over ?

(I'll leave you off ignore 24 hours to give you a chance to explain as well as post any links to photos of rifles I have posted that are not mine)

It is puzzling to me why folks, I assume to be resposible adults, engage in lies where they caught time after time and are consumed with such hatred toward somone they have never and probably will never meet.

As I said, no one has you in an iron maiden forcing you to look at the pictures.

I thought I was on "IGNORE"? We'll add that to your stable of prevarications. But I'll play and address your "puzzlement": Because anybody that uses multiple login names (in your case twnety or more) because he's either been banned, proven to be a liar, ridiculed as much as you have LARRY ROOT, are detrimental to places like this that for the most part are visited by folks who come here to learn, exchange ideas and enjoy the sport of hunting and weaponry. You in turn do nothing but stir up shit and there's a reason as to why SO MANY people think like I do. FOAD

Jorge, I said I would remove you from ignore for 24 hours (read my previous post).

You are carrying a vendetta that you have no reason to.

I have never cheated anyone or lied to anyone. As the with stolen photos you, nor anyone else, has yet to produce any evidence of that or any other unethical actions on my part.

I am sorry you cannot admit to those truths.

I am sorry you have to use coded obscenity rather than having an adult exchange.

I am sorry you avoided any answer(s) to my questions and just repeated your hate filled obscene ranting insults.

I was hoping for a different outcome, but you leave me no option except to restore you to ignore.

When/if you can ever produce any evidence to support your slander, do drop me a PM.

Thanks, Larry (why is my name so facinating but your's such a big secret...... one wonders.)

From what I have read here I don't see it. The guy made a mistake in what he copied, and admitted it.

It seems like all you have been able to say is what he (whoever he is) has allegedly done to others,of which you have listed no actual personal knowledge other than the hearsay you have read on the forums.

Why not forget what everyone else has said and go by your own interactions with him?

Silvertip, thanks for dose of the truth, but don't get into this or you'll be next.

You are correct. They have no issues with me except those they have created. The mispost of the 404 was just a simple error, first to admit when I make an error in fact.

They have never had any FTF or buy/sell interaction with me. it's just long simmering hatred for no other reason than it is fun and their actions have no consequesnces.

My A+ ratings on all the gun auction sites, Ebay as well as the many deals I have done here and other gun blogs speak to the truth.

A person you don't know is an "idiot" and a person you have never dealt with on any level is a "liar". Silly, childish and with no support.
The internet..... home to every wannabe alive.

I was told by those in control just to put them on ignore and not feed their hatred. That's what I have done.

Nice to hear from an adult here. 99% are but there's always the 1% down at the end of the bell curve.

Best to you and yours, Larry

Hearsay? not hardly. While you are at it, why don't you ask him about his literally dozens of internet handles and why he continues to get booted of these forums. Threatening phone messages to forum members, the man is a sociopath. His last login before this one was 45-70 Shooter. Interactions? dozens, under multiple login names and multiple lies. Suit yourself, with 136 posts maybe in time...

Troll (Internet) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet)

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with ...

It seems here that the OP posted photos of a gun that he had admiration for. He made one little mistake describing A 404 Jeffrey as a 404 Dakota. He apologized for that.
Then people who think their chit doesn't stink decided to rant on the person like they were an Internet God.

What he was talking about doesn't have anything to do with who he is, or what he has done, or anything else for that matter. It wasn't inflamatory or extraneous, considering this is a forum about guns.

In fact, anyone else here could have posted those exact same photos and made the same mistake and nothing would have been said about it. Not one thing.

Just pointing out a fact.

Hopefully the moderators will carefully read the thread and scold Jorge for being the troll here in the true sense of the word.

I, for one, enjoyed the photos of the guns, which I would imagine was the intent of the poster in the first place.

Man, the trolls just keep on acomin'!

Fortunately there are some well informed longtime posters here who recognize these charlatans for who they are. Because of the liberal policy on AR, it is essentially up to the members to police themselves; only in extreme instances is the ban put into place. Could be used more frequently, but Saeed didn't ask my opinion.

For the record, I do not like liars, cheats, phonies nor those who claim photos not their own. Idiots don't score well in my book either, but they are not really problems, simply uncomfortable diversions. One can always PM Saeed or GeorgeS and request a poster be reviewed and considered for banning. I have done, because they can't read every post.
