I picked up a LH stainless ruger originally chambered in 300 Win Mag. This rifle has "short barreled 458 Win Mag" written all over it. Question, Would it be a good candidate as far as getting it to feed the fatter rounds easy? My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

It may take some work, but it is not an unusual conversion. George

assuming mark II, it will be a rebarrel ONLY .. the feeding will be perfect. you'll have to put a pin down the wrist and bed it. or make it a 458 AR and have lott velocites from a 23" jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round?
