Dean,

looks like RGB is tied up, why not just call AHR and check with them...?

I think it was a guy from AHR(BITTERROOT Something?) who Pmd me and said the new brass has a different headspace than the original.
Did you get my pm on the gauges and brass?
Dean

Tonto- Sorry, Been out of town doing some shooting. Whats up? I hope the new brass doesn't have a change in headspace. That was a major issue from time zero.-Rob

I have a set of Go no Go gauges from building my 600OK. I was looking to sell or ? them to someone who wanted to build one.
I got a PM from I believe someone with Bitter root rifles(its tough getting old and forgetting things) asking if they were from the old brass or the new brass as the headspace isnt the same with them?
I remember somethimg about a reamer to make it easier to load certain solids you had? But if the headspace is not the same on the new brass Id hate to give up these gauges and screw someone up. or buy new brass for mine and find out it doesnt work.
Didnt know if you had any info on this.

Tonto- I'll call AHR and find out. I have a throater that fixed the Woodleigh solid issue and I know AHR is using one or built the dimensions into their reamers. They used to borrow my chamber reamer but have now produced their own copies.. As you remember, Horneber and I went round and round a few times on these dimensions till we got it right. let me find out whats going on.-Rob

I hope this is not their way of saying the 600 OK is an A.H.R. design...

I'm glad I have 700 cases of 600 Ok and 400 of the 600-2 OK

Rob are you still using the turned cases. I've gotten 8 or more reloads so far and they 're still good. I do keep the pressure to 38,000 or less still 1700 fps works well on deer...at least the dozen and a half I've shot haven't complaned Cool

Thanks. I hope I misunderstood. I have quite a bit of brass. I was looking last night and I even have over a dozen of the turned cases. Sounds like they would last a man a long time. I have a load with a 1050 grain cast at about 1750fps that is what I like to shoot hope to get a shot on a deer one of these days.
Take care

Fritz/Tonto- Funny you guys should mention the old brass cases. Yes They do last forever. I'm still reloading a batch of 20 cases for the last few years. They are at 8-10 reloadings or more. I also still use the brass cases for light loads when I'm letting a new guy try the gun.
I have some original Horneber cases that Dieter made and got the headspace about .002 too long. I hope that AHR didn't use that drawing with jamison. I'm going to call them today and sort this out. -Rob

Give RGB a high-five for "taking care of business...".

I would love to see this cartridge see production by one of the mainstream firearms manufacturers and ammunition companies. Might be time to talk to CZ, they seem to the THE innovators in large caliber bolt action DGRs.
