Mike got a malicious email from my highjacked hotmail address book.
He notified me of it,
also said he sold the business today.
It is a go, and this is from the horses's mouth, so to speak.

I trust the PM's here more than I do "hotmail."

Canuck,
Sorry for that, no, not me. I do not spell "kentuckey" when asking for planefare home, nor do I say I must be paying for "my feeding bills" when begging.

At Jim Manion's suggestion I have filed a complaint with IC3, which is FBI related.

I found a Microsoft phone number and a girl in the Phillipines passed me back to a website for Hotmail.

The Hotmail folks took 24 hours to get a supposed human "Jo- Anne G." corresponding with me, who passed the buck to another "Mary Grace"
who sent me an email at my new account, about midnight tonight.

"She" proffered a laundry list of questions for me to answer and said they would investigate it for 48 hours before they could close the account.

Meanwhile the moron is still playing with my hotmail account. Apparently not finding any valuable info, the moron is panhandling my address book.

Russian, Nigerian, Martian, or from another solar system?

I will wait for the North Fork Technology folks to announce themselves.

Please 'splain: If Swift A-Frames work well for someone, why would they consider switching to another bullet?

GeorgeS ----- If Swift A-Frames worked for me I probably would never have tried anything else. When I started shoot my two .358 STA's I bought 9 boxes of Swift's at an Rocky Mountain Elk foundation national convention, because I saved shipping charges. I bought three boxs of 225 grain, 250 grain, and 280 grain bullets. They passed my test box splendidly, but were not as accurate as I wanted. I then discovered North Forks and started shooting them with one hole accuracy on my good days. After many years, many hunts for me and my son, and many animals from Alaska to Colorado to Africa, nothing touchs the North Forks for accuracy and toughness. I somehow managed to have a horde of 32 boxs when Mike shutdown his operation and figures me and mine (a son, six grandsons, grandaughter and great grandson) could use them smartly for many years. ------ Now, if it is really true and Mike has anything to do with the new outfit (at least long enough to instill his standards), it is a day to celebrate for this reloader-hunter and those that will follow him. Good shooting.

phurley,

Don't get me wrong; I have no ownership interest in Swift, nor do I have anything against Mike Brady or North Fork bullets. Mike was very responsive to the needs of the big bore community for top-quality bullets. I have some on my shelves in .284" and .474", I just haven't gotten around to trying them.

A-Frames have always shot well, and performed well for me in the cartridges I hunt with most - .30-06 and .375H&H. If my experience had ben similar to yours, I would have tried the North Forks and others in those cartridges.

My point is merely that if you already use a super-premium bullet that meets your requirements, how much can you really gain by switching to another super-premium?

How many people would care to risk the success of an expensive hunt, perhaps the hunt of a lifetime, just because a particular bullet, rifle, scope, or cartridge is the 'forum darling'?

George

I think the issue is coming on a thread about North Fork and says "A-Frames Rule" as if that is relevant, and yet not having a basis for comparison which might be marginally relevant.

No one asked if A-Frames are better or worse.

For the record, in the only rifle where I have shot both the North Forks were more accurate, but I did not shoot the A-Frames on game. Everyone else's mileage will vary. I have nothing against A-Frames at all, just don't know why they are relevant to a discussion of North Fork resuming production.

Charles,

The one thing you can count on on the internet, is that the peanut gallery will ALWAYS chime in.

The nice thing is that the peanut gallery is different on almost every topic. Wink

It could have been worse; we could have been discussing African DG, the efficacy of certain moribund cartrtidges, and wholly inappropriate firearms chambered therein. Big Grin
