It's been a long road to this design. The large ring action is most definately more complicated for the outside shape than the small ring. The good news is that I have a frim grasp the MFG techinques for both now plus a faster machine to do them on as well. The action in the photos is a Rigby length, it's set up for the modified Grisel M-70 trigger system, trigger will fit up into the underside of the tange, trigger not pictured, it's still on the cad screen, The feed rails are a copy of an oberndorf magnum. The bottom is a sunny unit. Thanks, Stuart Satterlee/timan www.satterleearms.com

I'm looking forward to seeing one at the show. Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship Phil Shoemaker Alaska Master guide FAA Master pilot NRA Benefactor www.grizzlyskinsofalaska.com

Hi Stuart, Is that my action? Oops. Safety is on the wrong side for mine. Not stainless either? Oh well ...

Stuart-that is a very nice looking action. Can you guys address the safety issue for me. I have always grown up with & used the traditional right-side mounted Winchester style 3 position safety, yet I keep hearing that this is problematic with the possibility of knocking the safety while cycling. Is this any of you guys' experiences as it isn't with me to date? Again Stuart--nice action---it looks to me to be an M-98 design or is it an M-70 design?

I want to stick with the right-sided safety on my righthand action simply because I am hard wired for that with all my other rifles, and it has never been a problem. Just an old dog who doesn't need to learn this new trick.

I'm looking forward to stocking one of these. I like your transition from the rear sq. bridge to the action. It's a nice touch. It should inlet nicely also....into one of my guns...um stocks. Well suffice it to say that I like it. It's on the "I want one" list. Fine work

Trez, I'd like to make one for you. They do take some time to make and still do a good job, as does a good stock. Stuart

Hi Stu, I like the safety on the left side since I have large hands. As the clinic is sold, I will get in touch with you. Now I have to decide between a built in EAW style scope mount, a claw mount or no scope mount. Your work gets better every year. LD
