I'd like to get hold of 3 or 4 .404 Dakota cases to check magazine capacity on a Zastava action. Anybody have some I could buy ?

thats a rare bird...

its the same parent case as the smaller dakotas so if it will hold 300 dakota's it will hold 404 dakotas

imho do a 423-375 ruger...the 423 dakota is almost a wildcat

rip is going to make one...see how his comes out.

Huntington's used to carry Dakota cases and also sold them one at a time to collectors for about $2.50 per each. Try them. 1-866-735-6237

Ray, thanks for the lead. I'll try them.

BoomStick, the .423/.375 Ruger really does sound like a good cartridge. Problem I see is that there's a bit of a lack of reamers and specs Smiler . But yes, most of the Dakotas seem to be based on the .404 Jeff case, so any of those would work to check capacity.

Huntington's doesn't list them. If I have to, I'll call Dakota Monday and see if I can get a few pieces directly, unless someone here has some.
