RIP.375 Ruger ammo arriving at dealer tomorrow
Yep,
Hornady even ships to Kentucky.
100 boxes, 50 boxes of the 300 grain softs and 50 boxes of the 270 grain softs, at Whittaker Guns tomorrow:
www.whittakerguns.comAny serious hunter will use the GSC or North Fork solids and softs, and load his own after he chronographs and dissects the factory loads.
Whittaker did not order any solids, but he will if anyone wants him to.

Deleted to tone it down, I try not to post in anger

Still miffed at UPS for misdirecting three shipments in three months, but I'll get over it.
Looking forward to your usual unbiased and through review of the new cartridge and rifle.

RIPRick,
Understood.

Joe at
www.realguns.com will probably beat me to it, and Jeff at
www.gunblast.com has already published some wild reload data.

Realistic handloads for average 23" barrels with avearge 300-grain .375 bullets, for same pressure, IMHO, IMHSWAG:
.375 H&H: 2525 fps
.375 Ruger: 2625 fps
.375 Weatherby: 2725 fps

Lar45I wonder if you could swage RUM brass down to work in the 375 Ruger? If the base would squash down that far, the primer pocket might need cleaning up. ??? What is the difference, .545 to .532 ?

jeffeossoGlenn,
you would have to lathe turn it, (not my recommendation) to get the body right, but section a couple first to know how thick it is. you could wind up with a chases thickness too small..
or, trimm SOME off, then form.... the forming dies would need to be from 1" stock, due to pressure... you wouldn't want to crakc a die DRAWING it down (not swaging.. that's UP)
