JMJ888That is what I gathered from Dan's post on the other topic. Truly a shame.

ACRecurveI am leaving my order in place and will be expecting the price to stay the same as well...I'll take a dbl square bridged magnum mauser action for $525 WHENEVER they get them done.
Good hunting,

Idaho SharpshooterI do not have the operative phrase "give up" in my edition of Bartlett's Famous Quotations. I am staying on the list for three...those of you who bail out now do not have any financial committment, just a statement to make about keeping the faith and letting MRC know we want these actions when they do become available. It does mean that I get to move up on the list though! some good in that.
Rich
PS: does this mean that my M30's are now worth more?

boom stickditto to what acrecurve and rich said...
if it takes a couple more years i am still in. i think the guys at mrc are just not inspired right now and are just dealing with whats in front of them. i hope they get inspired soon...

JMJ888I figure maybe half the people that hear this news will pull there names off of the list...assuming there still is a list. It took them 2 years to get the list to where it was in the first place. Maybe it is a conspiracy to see who really wants an action (joking of course).
I figure I will take the $525 now and go pick up a Ruger (about the only option for a lefty wanting Rigby length cartridges) or the like. Worst case they start production at some date in the future, work all the bugs out, and figure out how to mitigate some of the difficulties they are experiencing now with backorders, and then offer the actions for 8-900 bucks. That is still a bargain compared to other options.
I just have a hard time dreaming up a project and then having to wait on the most critical component for an unspecified amount of time. It is the equivalent of "mental blueballs".

Lhook7I told Dan in my email that I would probably still buy a couple if they ever start production, but I don't want to commit to something that I may not need when it is finally produced. I don't have any hard feelings toward MRC; I just don't want to have an obligation that I may not want to fulfill when it comes due.

bwanamrmis.... dead in the water, IMHO.
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
