Jim Carmichael on the right. I don't know the older gentleman with the rifle. P.O. Ackley perhaps?

"...I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprize, and independance to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks." Kinda disappointed. Thought it would be guessed right off. Jim Carmichel sent this photo a couple hours ago. Said in the 50s he was really all about elephant hunting and so was John Buhmiller. John was showing Jim his muzzle braked rifle. Elephants were pest according to John.

Spot on.

Having seen Biebs flip cell phone - the time line all adds up.

I think this was in Biebs pre-blazer days. You know before when he chopped off his right thumb just to operate the blaser corker faster.

I like the stock profile. Especially the fore end. Buhmiller was not a big framed man but liked big guns.

In your mind you look like Robert Redford and shoot like Anne Oakley with your Blaser. But we all know the truth. But Biebs - don't ever let reality stop you from dreaming and dreaming big!!!

I'm confused - tell me which is uglier .... there's choices .... the rifle looks sorta O.K. with the barrel & forearm, other options are hidden in shadows.

Cheers,

Cal, as they say...any port in a storm. She's dropped quite a bit of weight since you were married, wouldn't you say? :-)

That's a Harris McMillan in 416 Rigby that Jim (Frostbit) now owns. It is quite a rifle.
