AHR is proud to be offering the new, one-piece, bottom-metal for the CZ 550 Magnum action, made by Duane Wiebe, on all of our Magnum CZ-based custom rifles. The metal work is of the highest quality, just what you'd expect from Duane. AHR has developed a new stock pattern to go with the new bottom-metal, and the first rifles are being built now. I have included a sneak-peek of one of our actions to hold you over.

Nice looking piece of steel Wayne. 2 rounder in 600 or did you squeeze a 3rd into her?

Still two 600 OK's in the box. It will take a big, extended floor-plate to get a third.

Duane is working on alternate floor-plates to increase capacity for different cartridges. He has data about this on his website at www.bottommetal.com

The SMP bottom-metal looks as nice as that cleaned-up CZ action...definately complement each other.

Sure but then you could build a 7 pound 600 OK and when loaded 3 + 1, the recoil would be like a kitten's touch ...

Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm anxious to see the new product.

Most that read these threads know the high regard I hold these CZ actions. Wayne Jacobsen has his ipmprovements that make soooo..much sense. The bolt handle, the 3 pos safety and single stage trigger conversion.

This is a class act! Proud to be part of it!

I couldn't agree with you more. I have two American Hunting Rifles creations, one built on a CZ action and I couldn't be more pleased.

Not only was the workmanship superb but very fairly priced and delivered on schedule (actually one earlier than expected).

When I asked for a modification to one (to have it lightened) Wayne was gracious and had lightning turn around. He even cleaned it up and took care of a few dents I put in the stock.

Great products, great people. Can't do better than that.

Just to bring everyone up to speed...Sound Metal Products will no longer exist due to stupidity of assesor cunts in the Pierce County Assessor's office.

Duane Wiebe is proud to offer bottom metal as "Wiebe" instead of "SMP"

Great looking rifle - including the excellent bottom metal.

Bitterroot, what's the magazine capacity in .375 RUM?

Hey, why not make mention of the 9.3x62's you have available? Great cartridge, and I'm sure the folks here would be interested.

Wayne,
I was pretty excited when I first saw that statement and thought I might be looking at MY rifle! Then I saw it didn't have the Fleur De Lis checkering pattern! Mine should be coming up soon! Looking forward to it...

Great looking rifle. Cleaned up CZ550s are every bit as good as more expensive limited production Mauser clones.

Huge improvement!

The orginal CZ bottom iron makes it so hard to get things to look right. I spent many an hour working on a pattern stock, and never did get it right, that area between the front of the bow and floor plate, just no mans land for me.
The answer is right here in these photos.

Good job!

Many Thanks
HBH
