After using several red dot reflex sights on my 470 and 500 NE DRs, I was anxious to try one on my 600 OK. I've used Burris, Leupold, and Trijicon red dots, but prefer the Trijicon sight since its manually adjustable. All these sights display some degree of "dot blooming" and with the Trijicon you can dial down the brightness, eliminating the bloom. My hunt for a good mount to match the CZ's front dovetail was going nowhere,so I called Wayne to get some leads on suppliers. He had the best of leads....he was just finishing the machining on a quick release mount of his design. After a short delay for black oxiding, my mount was delivered yesterday. After some fiddling with an adaptor plate since the Trijicon does not use the same mounting hole layout or thd size as a Dr Optik, the defacto standard for red dots, here we have the sight mounted on the 600 OK... Great product, nicely finished. I snugged it up against the front cut of the dovetail, you can see the adaptor plate that Trijicon offers for those using the Dr Optik "standard" mounting. If you follow up for your CZ, call Wayne and discuss the actual red dot you want to use easing the install effort. Bob DRSS DSC SCI NRA & ISRA

Very nice! Fits right into the dovetails on the bridges. It sure beats a scope on a 600 or other close-range big bore magazine rifle.

The bases will fit the Dr. Optik, Burris Fast-Fire, Leupold Deltapoint, and C-More Holographic red-dots. Dang Trijicon, somebody always has to be different. They have a unique hole spacing. I'm going to see if we can drill and tap the Trijicon hole layout along with the "standard" layout of the other brands so you don't have to fiddle with adapters. The Trijicon sight is an excellent sight and worth the effort. Jeffe, most holo-sights come with a Picatinny mount or as an opiton from the manuf.

Is there an adapter available to use Talley bases? NRA Life ASSRA Life DRSS Today's Quote: Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. I would buy one if there is. A quick release mount for Talleys would get use on my deer rifles as well as bigbores. The only reason I don't have a Docter sight already is the lack of mounts for Talley bases. It's not the caliber of the rifle that matters - It's the caliber of the man behind it.

I also had Wayne create one for both my 600 OK and 700 AHR...just awaiting the matching finish that is on my rifles. The AHR idea, however, is not really new, as Wayne had it on his website quite some time ago. Respects, Phill

Wayne showed me that RMR and base when he visited me here in Vegas. I have a RMR on other guns and its pretty darn rugged. I still think this is a great idea for DGR's as long as the recoil doesn't kill them.-Rob Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers to do incredibly stupid things- AH (1941)- Harry Reid (aka Smeagle) 2012 Nothing Up my sleeves but never without a plan and never ever without a surprise!

Someone makes the mount for Talley bases, I just can't remember who. I saw it on a website or in some literature somewhere. Can't remember if it was QD either.

After a fair amount of google searching I drew a blank. I've written to Talley and asked if they will add this to their line up. I'll report back here if and when they say something. Talley wrote back and said that they don't do this. The said that Jim Brockman is doing it but there is no mention on his website. http://www.brockmansrifles.com/index.asp NRA Life ASSRA Life DRSS Today's Quote: Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Brockman may do these as a one-off type thing but I think Wayne may be getting the idea there is a market for the Talley version!

This sounds great, but I also have a concern with longevity of the sight on big-bores. Anyone out there who can give me peace-of-mind? Would not want to be out somewhere and have "pieces-in-hand." .395 Family Member DRSS, po' boy member Political correctness is nothing but liberal enforced censorship

Personally I haven't had any issues yet. But at presant it's only mounted on a 375H&H. If and when Wayne desides to build these adapter mounts it'll be on a 450 NE. Others haven't had problems on big boomers either. NRA Life ASSRA Life DRSS Today's Quote: Give a man a fish and he eats for a day.
