army aviatorHornady and 375 Ruger
I just received and E-mail from Hornady and some of their new products. This maybe old news but they stated the 375Ruger was exactly the same length as a 30.06case with 6% more capacity than the 375H&H and 150FPS more speed.

jeffeossoyep... with a .532 casehead, that tapers to 2.5ish inches. rather than .473 for the 30-06, or an EFFECTIVE ~.520 if you trimmed the belts off an HH case and tapered them in.

Paolo9,5x73You might want to buy some of those .375H&H Heavy Mag loads, Hornady might nix them to help the NBOTB. That's if you own .375 H&H.

That's great advice! Nothing like handicapping your newborns rival.

boom stick4% case capacity is supposed to give 1% performance increase...thats what they say here...so 1.5% increase in the same load???
i am all for the new round but the extra velocity is going to be high preasure and special non released powders...and a tad from the more efficient case
reloaders will get a smidge more than their 375 h+h loads due to a more efficient case and a smidge more boom room

vapodogI read it this way..... Reloaders will achieve about 50'/sec over the 375 H&H loaded at the same pressure.
It still boils down to this....unlike a 375 Taylor that is almost a 375 H&H.....the Ruger is a full H&H and then a bit more.....therein lies the meat....
