.366torqueHere's a nice Weatherby
With all the pros and cons, it still looks nice.

analog_peninsulaI didn't think that anyone on this site thought that there was ever a nice Weatherby. For all the people who hate them, they sure seem to kill a lot of game.

RobgunbuilderAh- The fine lines and craftsmanship of Weatherby. Wonder if the barrel has any lands, well some at least. Zero temptation here.-Rob

All right, all right I apologize! Sorry to have offended you guys!

Seriously everyone of my rifles are CRF!

Forgive me now?

30 August 2006, 11:03
duikermanIt actually looks good. And it's available in .375 H&H as well. I didn't see the cost but it's not important as it's marked WEATHERBY which means I don't want one.
30 August 2006, 17:50
Jay JohnsonI love to see negative posts about Weatherby's. Keeps the prices down on the used ones and allows me to buy good used ones at a fraction of the cost of a new one. Have two now and they are killing machines.
30 August 2006, 18:25
Paolo9,5x73I would not mind finding one built around FN Mauser system in .375H&H from early '50s, nice rifles.

30 August 2006, 18:27
jorge366: CRFs? Surely you jest, to some here, unless it's a lever action using some kind of pumkin roller bullet, well it just ain't worth living for. The rifle depicted here, while not for everybody, is a well-made and reliable firearm and a great cartridge. NICE WEATHERBY....jorge

I like CRF Mod.70s best and thats what I hunt with however I just picked up a Mark 5 338/378. Great gun , first time to the range it fired a couple of inch groups with starter loads in unfired and unprepped brass. Got my 378 for less than half the price of a new one. Keep the WBY bashing up as others have said it keeps the prices down for me.

Beat me to it. A friend has an early FN Wby 375 and even though the stock is not classic style it is a beautiful rifle just the same. Looks sorta like the rifle pictured above.

Well it "LOOKS" like a real DGR rifle, except for that Monticarlo buttstock. Kinda like a prostitute, there's something not so safe under the fancy dress!
NICE WBY

I would like to find one of the old Wbys built on the FN action, but I'd re-stock it even then, to get rid of the HIP-HOP BLING.

adrookI just don't get the Weatherby bashing. I have a US made Mark V in .270 WBY that I love, it's an accurate and well made rifle. I have both CRF and PF Winchesters as well. I like them all.

nickblazeits too pretty, and the lott is almost as good - basically the response you'll get.
i love mine, hell with 'em
ManCannon,

Wizard78I like my Weatherby's and own 8 of them. I've got $50 that says my factory stock, Weatherby Euromark in 270 Wby mag, can out shoot your pre or post 64 Winchester (must be stock, unaltered in at least a 270 caliber) with factory ammo.. Now, I agree that the Mk V rifles can seem "pretty" but hell, they shoot good unless the barrel has been shot out.. I would include my 340 Custom Shop in the above "dare" but someone might complain that it isn't a "stock, unaltered" rifle, because it's a Custom Shop.

interboatWeatherbys were nice when they were built on Brevex actions. In classic African calibers.

LAWCOPANYONE with nasty old junk Weatherbys should be glad to gte rid of them for the price of scrap metal.
I finally shot out the STOCK bbl on my .340 after more 1000yd shooting than I should have. It is being rebarreled now.
will nicely print 7-8" groups all day long at 1000 using the Sierra 300gr Matchkings. At 100yds it would stuff them into 1/2-3/4" depending on the caffine intake that day.
Anyone wanting to dump their ratty Wbys.. PM me I figure 10 cents on the dollar is fair for scrap.

ZekeGenuine Weatherby Attire?
ZM
Weatherbys are awesome rifles, with a scope they can be shouldered faster than many others, for the kids here I would reccomend a Cz- locked up action brand new to avoid the recoil ,if it won't fire you won't get kicked.

p dog shooterI would take one if any one has one he dosen't want.
Looks ok to me.

Bo RichFirst of all I really like that hat! That was pretty funny. I used to hunt with a Japan Mark 5, also a W. German .340 that i still own. They both shot very well!! The .340 is very accurate, and a great bear buster. I killed a big Kodiak with it back in 1988. Anyways I will take the Mark 5 over the ugly stainless/plastic rifles that we see so much of today

bigdoggy700I will admit to owning 4 weatherby rifles, from 240 weatherby to 460 weatherby. I think they all shoot good. Not all weatherby owners are stuck up pimps, but think what you want, I am keeping all of mine.
