Hello.

Walked into small local gun shop and what is on the counter.
None other than the 2 bore Jones that Colin built.
Aquired from an estate.
The bad news is one of our own has fallen.
The gun is on the market.

There is also three single shots out of the collection.
Two 600 NE and a 577 NE the 577 will be coming home with me.

Store name, web site address, please?

D/R Hunter

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...

The man I built it for passed away last April after a nasty fight with cancer. I'll miss Rick he was a good customer and an even better friend.

That 2 Bore is currently being offered by Deer Hunter Guns of Clearwater Florida. They have it listed on Gun International for $14,999.00.
http://www.gunsinternational.c...cfm?gun_id=100389454

I'm not affliated with Deer Hunter Guns in any way, the only interaction I have had with them was a phone call to answer some questions about the rifle. They are offering it at a very good price... just the rifle from my shop at current prices is nearly 15K without all the brass, reloading tools and acoutrements that are part of that deal.

The other thing I will mention is that I warranty my guns for life(my life time), regardless of owner if you ever have a problem with the rifle, as long as nobody else tries to work on it, send it back to me and I'll warranty all mechanical function. Normal wear from use and handling(faded stock finish, worn bluing, faded Case Colors, nick, dings, etc.) is not covered but I will work with any owner to refresh one of my rifles for a reasonable price.

Colin

Edited to add: A friend of the family was helping with the estate and contacted me about the rifle. I don't know what happened but the ebony tip on the forearm had come lose. He did not send it back to me to have it repaired, he fixed it himself...so if anyone buys the rifle and they aren't happy with the repair to the forearm, please contact me and I will work with you to take care of it.

All of the details of the rifle and the documented build can be found on my website:
http://www.stolzergunsmithing....orejonesfinished.htm
There is a link at the end of the first sentence that will take you to the fully documented build(5 Pages).
