If your gonna wait for PH might consider a
full size 700 like our 700H 3.25.
I have it going and tested.Ed

Ed,

if I can get brass easily and it fits in the big PH then that might be good.

What is the name of your round ??

where can brass be had and does this round just use normal Fed 215m primers ??

I would need a reamer, dies, brass and barrel.............want to know if the PH will vere happen first and with the bigger bolt face.

What ballistics can one expect ??

IS I will look at that thread now.

We don't know which action will be first.
Looks like neck and neck.My cases are
the long 700HE and shorter for PH/Mcgowen
700H 3.25". I have cases and we'd have to get
them to you. Mine have BMG primers. In our
12ga FH testing the powders you should use
in these cases won't ignite properly with large
rifle primers.A problem that will affect with others..?
Small primers, they use fast powders or starter powders,
like guys reloading for 700 NE have to.
The 700H will get a 1000 gr to 2700, the longer
700HE about 3200, if you want. Ed

Ed,

thanks for that..............I would want a .700 round that would fit into the PH/McGowan and be able to seat the woodleigh 1000 gr soft to the cannelureand crimp it there...............I would rather use starter powders etc. than have to rely on >50 BMG primers as my recent experience is showing me anything used for the demonised .50 BMG seems to be difficult/long process to get.

even with the bigger case I think I would load 1000 gr to 2700 at the most Big Grin

My cases can have a bushing in for smaller
primers, like Fed 215M..I did a couple to
shorten for use in NEF with
regular hammer springs to do testing.
I didn't know you had troubles there getting
BMG primers. Ed

I talked to them 15 minutes ago. They are
trying to get them out as soon as possible.
They hadn't heard of the McGowen deal..But
now they know and he looked at postings
on here while we were talking. So I hope
they have good fortune and get them soon.
And I told them as soon as
they can get one here- the barrel, stock, everything is here and ready. So I can shoot
my 700H in it and I will put info out on 50 forums. Ed
