Has anyone seen this rifle? 375HH Lever action.

Brandon.GleasonSeems like a slick idea. If I recall correctly, someone here modified a Browning BLR to accept a 375 or 416 Ruger??

boom stickI started looking at the pictures on the patent. Can anyone tell if it is a better design than he BLR?

chuck375I think a BLR (the old heavier all steel models) in 375 H&H would be an awesome rifle.

boom stickIs this rifle better than the BLR other than the length of cartridge?

buckeyeshooterHard to beat a Winchester 1895 in 35 Whelen or a Winchester 86 or 71 in something like .470 Turnbull, 50 Alaskan or 50-110 in this power level.
It looks like an interesting rifle, wonder what the lever throw and durability are like?

drhall762Just downloaded the patent. Interesting construction for sure.

boom stickHe was a gun designer for Mossberg and to see the rifle and patent, it looks like a fine lever actuated bolt rifle. The trigger moving with the lever is interesting. Other than the design merits, the interest is an action length that can take those 375HH class cartridges.

GrenadierIt's a bit of a beast, if you ask me. It must have taken a lot of metal to make it.

SnowwolfeAlmost looks like a BLR action merged with a Savage 99 lever. But if that guy is supposed to be holding a 375 H&H length action in his hands it doesn't look long enough to handle the H&H cartridge and the lever is all the way open. Perhaps the based of the case is buried inside the action? And if it is, I would wonder how it would eject a loaded round.

boom stickI didn't think that it looked too big. I wish I could post the patent diagrams here but I am just on my iPhone right now.

lb404Modified a 1895 from 3006 to 9.3x62. slick rig. shot pretty much with the 375 H&H we tested. Great for hogs and deer. Never had a chance to shoot at Elk but am sure it would have done well. Lives somewhere in Colorado now. Carried on horseback in saddle scabbard.
square shooter

AtkinsonI built a 9.5x62 ( 375x62 ) Load work got me about 2500 FPS with a 270 gr. bullet and 2400 plus with a 300 gr. bullet..Easy rechamber and rebore..Run a 9.3x62 into a 9.5x62 die to reload, no need to fire form..I had Dennis Olson ream out and harden the 9.3 die for $25.....He also did the barrel and chamber work.
I really liked the gun, and intended to keep it, but a fellow fell in love with it and left at high speed in his pickup leaving me with bulging pockets of hard cash...
That would be and easy conversion in a BLR I suspect..It would make a nice light one gun for an African safari..
