BuffHunter63Help Locating Mule Deer. Book
I once had a book about hunting mule deer that had several pages of deer partially hidden. The object was for you to learn to spot deer in cover.
The book also had some sketches of outlines of partial deer parts.
I believe he used the acronym FERAL for Face, Ears, Rear, Antlers, and Legs.
He also talked about scrolling and skirting.
I no longer have that book would like to get another copy. I forgot the title and the author but I remember the author was a mule deer guide in either Wyoming or Montana.
Anyone have an idea of the book’s title or author?
Thanks.

HannayA couple possibilities - was it this book:
If it is, you can find it on AbeBooks.com:
https://www.abebooks.com/servl...tby=17&sts=t&tn=mule I don't have it, but I have this book:
also
available on abebooks.com
and see "Scrolling" and "FERAL" covered, both in sections credited to Jim Van Norman. (So I searched abebooks.com for books authored by Jim Van Norman and with "mule" in the title.
Forgive the poor quality snapshots, but here are a few images from Mule Deer - Western Challenge:

BuffHunter63Hannay,
I think it might be the first one.
The second book has what appears to be some of the exact same sketches, and it is possible some of them were reused in the second book.
As I now recall the book was a collaboration and one author was named Tom and Jim sounds right as well.
Thanks so much.
I can use this information to further refine my search.
This is why AR is of such value to the hunting and shooting community.
Best regards,
