Hunting in Turkey
I came across this book at a used bookstore this morning:

Hunting in Turkey by Ali H. Üstay. Published in 1990 by BBA in Turkey - no ISBN.

It's a richly illustrated guidebook (of sorts) to hunting in Turkey. It includes a fold-out map. I'd never seen it before. Or heard of it, for that matter, but I thought this might be of interest to some of you. The Table of Contents and some images from the book follow. Pardon the low-quality snapshots.

I have never thought of hunting in Turkey, but it stands to reason considering their location and all the surrounding country where there are some trophy hunting, it makes sense.

I lived in Turkey as a military brat from 65 to 67. Got my start in hunting from wild boar, ibex, duck, upland bird,& predators.Bought that book when it first came out and it still brings back memories today.great time to live there.

Indeed. At the risk of sounding like an old fart reminiscing about how things today aren't what they used to be; it's true, they're not. All around I find the mid-60s to be preferable to today, in most things. (Nam excluded).

There are so many woubderful places to hunt. So few dollars and life, comparatively.

Time and money are short for most of us. Future health is uncertain as is the future stability of many countries with good hunting. I’ve been to Turkey once, but not sure i’d Go back with the current political situation. But there is a very nice trip report from dogcat on his 2015 bezoar ibex hunt that is was recently resurrected on the European hunting forum.

Decisions, decisions...

Yep, but don't complain about not having enough time; you already have all there is.
